Electricity / Energy Cost Calculator (AED)

Estimate the monthly and yearly running cost of an electrical load in the UAE from its power, running hours and your per-kWh tariff — and see what power-factor correction could save.

A quick running-cost estimate in AED — enter your real per-kWh tariff from your bill. To cut the bill with power-factor correction, ask us about an APFC panel.

Why it matters

Cutting the electricity bill

Know the running cost

Energy cost = power × running hours × tariff. Knowing it per machine or panel shows where to focus efficiency and correction.

Power factor adds penalties

Utilities such as DEWA surcharge a low power factor. An APFC capacitor bank removes that penalty and lowers current — often paying for itself.

Efficiency built in

We build capacitor banks and well-designed panels that cut losses, and can advise where correction or metering pays back fastest.

FAQ

Energy cost

How do you calculate electricity cost?

Energy (kWh) = power (kW) × hours × days. Cost = energy × your per-kWh tariff. This tool gives the monthly and yearly figures in AED.

What is the DEWA tariff per kWh?

DEWA uses slab (tiered) tariffs plus a fuel surcharge, so the effective rate varies by consumption and customer type. Enter your actual per-kWh rate from your bill for an accurate result.

How does power factor affect my bill?

A low power factor raises current and can trigger a utility penalty. Correcting it with a capacitor bank cuts the penalty and frees up capacity — we size and build the APFC panel.
